The Blue Sharks have unveiled their squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations beginning next month, where they will face the hosts South Africa
Africa Cup of Nations rookies Cape Verde have announced their 23-man squad for the upcoming showpiece, where they will face hosts South Africa, Morocco and Angola in Group A.
The Blue Sharks coach Lucio Antunes released the names at a press conference on Tuesday in the Island’s capital Praia.
Cape Verde pulled off a shock result by eliminating four-time champions Cameroon during the qualifying campaign on a 3-2 aggregate.
Antunes says his side will not be coming to get just continental exposure, but to create more surprises at the tournament.
They will open their campaign against Bafana Bafana on January 19 at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg.
