Sierra Leone defender Ishmael Koroma leaves for Udinese trials
FC Johansen captain Ishmael Jaw Jaw Koroma has been invited to take trials at Serie A side Udinese after earning commendation from renowned player agent Patrick Mork
Sierra Leone international Ishmael Jaw Jaw Koroma has left for Italy to undertake a two-week trial with Italian club Udinese, his agent told Goal.com on Thursday.
The 16-year-old central defender was recommended by popular Swedish agent Patrick Mork, who also helped Ghanaian quartet Gyan Asamoh, Sulley Muntari, Kwado Asamoh and Rabiu Mohammed to the Serie A.
“This is a big opportunity for the youngster who has great potential to excel in any top flight league in the world,” Koroma’s agent Chernor Musa Jalloh said.
“The most important thing for him is to showcase his talent and I believe he will offer his best throughout the trails because he’s not a stranger to international football,” he added.
Koroma was an unused sub for Sierra Leone during their 2-2 away draw against Equatorial Guinea in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers last June.
