Celtic were in impressive form at the weekend when they romped to a 6-2 victory over Dundee United at Celtic Park at the weekend and the Hoops will be keen to repeat that trick when they travel to take on St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Tuesday.Neil Lennon’s men are chalked up at 4/9 (1.44) with William Hill to claim all three points while the hosts are rated as a 7/1 (8.0) chance with the same firm. The draw is rated as a 3/1 (4.0) shot with William Hill.
While the Hoops are, deservedly, warm favourites to win the match, it should be noted that Celtic have conceded in four of their last five Scottish Premier League matches and, therefore, the 10/11 (1.91) quote for both teams to score is hugely tempting here, especially given that Steve Lomas’ men have scored in nine of their last 11 matches on home soil, including a 2-1 win over the Hoops back in September.

Motherwell welcome Dundee United to Fir Park for what promises to be an entertaining Scottish Premier League encounter on Tuesday night.
Stuart McCall’s Steelmen are rated as William Hill’s 6/5 (2.20) favourites to claim all three points while both a Dundee United win and a draw can be backed at 23/10 (3.30) with the same firm.
United had started well under new manager Jackie McNamara, having recorded emphatic home victories over Rangers and Heart of Midlothian but the Terrors suffered a setback against Celtic at the weekend and the former Partick Thistle boss will be looking for a response from his players here.
It is worth noting that Motherwell have managed an impressive 12 goals in their last four matches while United have managed eight goals in three matches since Jackie McNamara took charge at Tannadice so this has all the makings of an open contest.
With that in mind, William Hill’s tempting 4/6 (1.67) quote for at least three goals to be scored at Fir Park is the recommended play here and it should be backed accordingly.
