Corinthians fans the best in Brazil, says Pato
The former AC Milan striker has spoken highly of his new surroundings and reserved special praise for Timao supporters
Alexandre Pato has labelled Corinthians fans as the "best in Brazil".The Brazil international moved back to his homeland at the start of January after four years with Italian giants AC Milan and has spoken of the great reception he has received upon his return.
"I'm very happy to have returned to Brazil to join Corinthians. I chose the club for its structure, which is phenomenal, and for the fans, who are the best in Brazil," he told the press.
"It is similar to Milan, the only difference is that the equipment here is newer, but, both clubs are great.
"Everyone has been great. They have welcomed me with great affection and open arms. Everyone here, the players and the club, are all doing the best for Corinthians.
The 23-year-old was blighted by injury during his time in Italy and is still recovering from an existing problem picked up prior to his move, though he is hoping to make a return sooner rather than later.
"I do not want to make a prediction as to when Ill be fit again. I am working and improving every day and I am happy with my work. Soon I intend to be playing," he continued.
"I hope my debut is amazing. In the meantime I will be supporting the team as much as possible. When on the field, I will try and win the affection of the club's faithful."
