Norwich City - Chelsea Betting Preview: In-form Blues looking to bag Boxing Day points

Rafael Benitez's men smashed eight goals past Aston Villa and Willie Duncan is backing the Fernando Torres to inspire another three points against Chris Hughton's Canaries
Norwich City’s unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end on Saturday when they were beaten by West Bromwich Albion and the Canaries will be eager to bounce back when they welcome Chelsea to Carrow Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Chelsea, of course, will come into this match with their confidence soaring following their 8-0 demolition of Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Hughton’s side had not lost in 10 Premier League outings prior to Saturday’s defeat and are available at 4/1 (5.0) with William Hill to pick up three points against the Blues on Wednesday.

As well as that astonishing victory over Aston Villa at the weekend, Rafael Benitez’s side also defeated Sunderland at Stadium of Light in their previous away game and are available at 4/6 (1.67) with William Hill to claim another victory on the road when they visit Carrow Road.

The same firm go 11/4 (3.75) that the match ends in stalemate.

Spain international Fernando Torres, who has scored seven goals in his last six outings for the Blues, is the subject of William Hill’s special “headline offer” for this match.

William Hill go 5/2 (3.50) that Torres nets at any time in a victory for Rafael Benitez’s side – a price which looks to represent outstanding value given the form that Torres has displayed in recent weeks.

The same firm offer up a chunky 8/1 (9.0) that Canaries striker Grant Holt nets at any time in a home win in another “headline offer” from the odds compilers.

It is worth noting that Norwich are unbeaten in seven of their eight home Premier League matches thus far this term, having won five in the process – including notable victories over Arsenal and Manchester United – so this looks likely to be a tough test for Rafael Benitez’s men.

Norwich’s last five matches in all competitions have produced no fewer than 20 goals while there have been an astonishing 30 goals scored in the last six matches that the Blues have contested.

With that in mind, the 4/6 (1.67) on offer from William Hill for three or more goals to be scored appears to represent excellent value here and should be backed accordingly.

Those seeking bigger prices should snap up William Hill’s tempting “headline offer” quote of 5/2 (3.50) for Fernando Torres to score at any time in what would be a third successive Premier League victory for the Blues.
