Allowed a Hazard shot to slip out of his grasp for a disastrous ending to the first half, allowing Zulte-Waregem to level. Remained composed but could do nothing about Malanda's excellent late goal.
Offered plenty of energy and endeavour for Wigan from left-back, looking to get forward and provide crosses.
Showed control and composure to slot the ball beyond Bossut for a well-taken opening goal. Marauded forward regularly despite playing in defence.

His early free kick should have brought the opening goal but went unconverted by a team-mate, before an excellent corner was headed wide by Rogne. Plenty of quality in his delivery but played a gear lower than those around him and was replaced by Fortune after an hour.
Well beaten early on by Barnett, but recovered to deny McManaman with an excellent save from close range and forced a McClean shot wide, before keeping out Powell in the second half.
A decent perofrmance from the defender who made no glaring errors in a fast-paced and open game.
Nearly turned into his own net from a Barnett header, only for his side to score on the break moments later. Entered into an entertaining battle with McManaman and enjoyed his fair share of success after shakey start.
Made a mess of an attempted clearance and was lucky to go unpunished as Bossut saved from Powell.
D. De Fauw
Caught on the hop at times by the physicality and pace of McClean along with the additional threat of Crainey from deep.
Beaten all ends up by McManaman as the forward crossed for Wigan to open the scoring but showed some class in midfield during the second half as the Belgians grew into the game. Replaced late on by Caceres.
Embarrassed by McArthur who dummied him into a tackle before shooting just wide. Tired as the game drew on and came off for N'Diaye.
