This will be much more of a top of the table clash when Ingwevisits the flamingo town of Nakuru. Third placed AFC Leopards will be hoping to continue their dominance over the fourth placed soldiers in the past four seasons.
Both teams are on the same number of points with AFC Leopards having played a match more than the soldiers. Ulinzi Stars will be going flat out for victory to boost their chances of challenging for the league title
AFC Leopards’ Coach Luc Eymael is an equally ambitious man, spelling out clearly that his target is to win the crown.
Leopards are unbeaten in the past five matches, collecting 13 points out of a possible 15, a record only familiar with league leaders Gor Mahia. Ingwe have also conceded only two goals, while scoring 11 goals in their past five assignments.
The soldiers on the other hand have won three out of their last five matches, drawing one and losing another. Their last defeat coincidentally was against AFC Leopards at the Mumias Sports Complex, Charles Okwemba scoring the winner.
The soldiers will however, be worried by their poor goal scoring record, having scored thrice in over 450 minutes of football. However, they will lay solace in the fact that they have had a water tight defense, only conceding a single goal, the Okwemba beauty at Mumias Complex.
A win for Salim Ali’s charges will lift them to second place on 30 points, only six behind leaders Gor Mahia. A win for Luc Eymael’s AFC Leopards’ will take them to same number of points, though a match more played by the blue and white hoops.
