The Roma goalkeeper didn't have much to do apart from collecting the occasional opportunistic long range strike.
The Feyenoord defender got the nod ahead of Van Rhijn, but was unable to justify his inclusion. Sloppy in possession, and managed to get booked even though Andorra hardly got out of their own half.
B. Martins Indi
Never really tested in defence, but willingly charged forward whenever possible to link up with Lens. Had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half.
Like Heitinga, Vlaar didn't have much to do in defence either. The Aston Villa skipper did come close to adding his name to the score sheet, but his header only hit the upright.
Heitinga had an easy night as Andorra's lone striker didn't dare entering Dutch territory. Looked comfortable on the ball on the few occasions he got involved.
Became Oranje's youngest ever captain in a competitive match, and put in a decent performance. Involved in the build-up to the opener with a fine individual action.
N. de Jong
The AC Milan midfielder looked dangerous on set pieces, but was unable to find the net. Hardly lost possession, but didn't take much risk on the ball either.
R. van der Vaart
Van der Vaart always looked lively on the ball, and played a key role in his side's victory by opening the scoring. Hooked for Afellay after the break.
Huntelaar set up the opener as he deflected the ball into Van der Vaart's path, before doubling Netherlands' lead with a somewhat fortunate finish. Should have added at least one more to his tally, but lacked accuracy in front of goal.
The winger has been in fine form this season, and caused his direct opponent all kinds of trouble with his silky dribbles. Got two assists to his name before he was replaced.
Beat his marker for pace time and time again, but his crosses not always found a team-mate. Encouraging debut performance, though, as Schaken made it 3-0 after the interval.
Was always going to have a busy night against the 2010 World Cup finalists, but will be pleased to have conceded only three goals. Did not impress on Holland's first two goals, though.
The Real Madrid C youngster occasionally showed promise, but failed to really stand out.
The skipper led by example as he was never afraid to stick his feet in. Worked hard and made some important tackles, even though the difference in class was obvious.
Did not have an easy evening against Lens as he was beaten on more than one occasion. Taken off after the interval.
Booked in the first half after a foul on Schaken. Didn't do much but chase his direct opponent, before he was taken off after the interval.
The midfielder tried his luck from long range early on, but failed to trouble Stekelenburg. Always willing to track back and help his defence.
Picked up a knock in the first half after a collision with Van der Vaart, but played through the pain barrier and stayed on the pitch. Like his team-mates, his contribution was limited to defending.
Was given the task to keep Holland's creative midfielder's quiet and did a reasonable job in doing just that. Did lose sight of Van der Vaart for the opener, though.
The experienced midfielder did plenty of running and always worked hard. Lacked the cutting edge to add anything in possession.
Andorra's lone striker did get a shot on goal in the ninth minute, but it was a harmless attempt in an otherwise anonymous outing.
