Had very little to do as Liverpool dominated even as they struggled to make it count in the first period.
Made some crucial interceptions as Swansea made the early running but was in for an easy afternoon after that. Got forward regularly to aid the attack.
Made several trademark forays into the opposition box but might have done better in picking a pass once there.
Rarely tested by an anaemic Swansea attack. Liverpool will certainly miss his leadership when he retires at the end of the season though, as he was undoubtedly the loudest voice on the pitch.
Showed real calmness with the ball in his own half and got forward to great effect. Played a huge part in the build-up to his goal, engaging in some delightful exchanges before toeing home in the box.
Controlled midfield and exorcised the ghosts of his penalty miss against West Brom with an expertly taken spot-kick in the first half to put his side ahead.
Flitted in and out of the game, as is to be expected of a new arrival, and missed a gilt-edge opportunity to open his account after good work from Sturridge in the first half. Made up for that, however, with a well-taken goal just 30 seconds into the second period. Encouraging signs for the home fans.
Still looks like Liverpool's weak link during periods of domination but kept the shape well and worked hard. His countless shots off target in the first half underlined his still evident lack of cutting edge.
Getting better with every game. Snapped at the heels of a capable Swansea midfield and utilised his long-range passing to launch counterattacks.
An absolute nightmare for the Swansea defence to deal with. Ducked and dived all day and earned a penalty with a typically teasing run. Finished well with his left foot after deceiving two central defenders in one drop of the shoulder.
His combination with Suarez may not have scaled the heights in the first half but was back on top form by the end of the game. Showed his immaculate touch and underrated awareness in some delightful attacking exchanges. Deserved a goal and was handed penalty duties by Gerrard for that reason; making no mistake to beat Vorm.
Should have done much better thank to allow Coutinho's shot to escape him 30 seconds into the second half. Might have stopped Enrique's toe-poked effort from finding the net not long after.
Fared no better than his centre-half partner, with Suarez in particular causing him trouble thanks to an array of nutmegs and shoulder drops.
Lucky not to concede a penalty in the first period for a clumsy challenge on Sturridge. His second half got even worse as he was beaten time and time again by a rampant Suarez and Sturridge.
Allowed Coutinho to run inside him far too easily on a number of occasions and was deceived by some fine passing moves on his wing.
Limited Downing's impact in the first half by staying tight and forcing the winger onto his weaker right foot. Stuck to his task less fastidiously in the second period as Liverpool ran riot.
Kept his passing simple and utilised possession well as Swansea prevented the Reds from carving out too many clear-cut chances in the first period. Could not stop Suarez from picking space behind him late on, though.
J. de Guzmán
Another Swansea player who kept things tidy during the visitors' rare spells of possession. Crowded out after working an excellent one-two into the box in the second period.
Genuinely troubled the hosts by leading some fine counterattacks in the first half but saw his influence wane as the game changed.
Gave away the penalty which turned the tide entirely against his team. Had proved a bothersome presence in midfield for the hosts prior to that but was overrun afterwards.
Did little of note after his shot in the box was blocked by Johnson after 15 minutes. Substituted after an anonymous hour.
Another squad player who did his chances of breaking through few favours. Easily shackled by Carragher and Agger.
Continued his recent impressive run of form with a late appearance as a substitute. Confidently demanded the ball in attacking areas and picked his passes well.
Kept things simple after coming on as Liverpool cruised home.
Showed his desire to break back into the first team with a hard-running late cameo.
