So, Juventus join Napoli on 19 points, two points off Roma whilst Milan drop to 12th, 13 points off the pace. Antonio Conte's side face a tricky trip to Fiorentina after the international break whilst Max Allegri's men will hope to bounce back at home to Udinese. That's all from me, folks. Until next time, goodbye.
FT: Juventus 3-2 Milan. The referee calls time on a fantastic action-packed contest in Turin. Sulley Muntari scored in the first and last minute of normal time but goals from Andrea Pirlo, Sebastian Giovinco and Giorgio Chiellini ensure that Juventus keep up the pressure on table-topping Roma. Philippe Mexes certainly didn't help Milan's cause and he was sent off midway through the second half.
90' + 4'
SO CLOSE FOR MILAN! Niang swings the corner into the box and Constant gets ahead of Barzagli before sending a header narrowly over the top. That was the chance for Milan.
90' + 3'
Corner for Milan! Can they make it count?
90' + 2'
Yellow CardSulley Muntari
90' + 2'
The Milan players are desperately trying to find an equaliser but Muntari's foul on Giovinco edges Juventus closer to the win. The Ghanaian picks up a booking for his mistimed tackle.
MUNTARI MAKES IT 3-2! Are we set for another Milan comeback? Muntari steals possession away from Pogba before striding forward and sending a shot towards goal which deflects off Bonucci and wrongfoots Buffon. Four minutes of stoppage time for Allegri's side to find an unlikely equaliser.
Milan are sniffing around for a consolation but Chiellini produces a crucial clearance to deny Niang.
GOOD CHANCE FOR JUVENTUS! Vidal's well-weighted pass finds Giovinco on the left corner of the box but the striker dallies in possession and has the ball stolen off his toes by Abate.
Nigel De Jong
Changes for both sides with four minutes to go as Llorente replaces Tevez for Juventus whilst Poli comes on in place of De Jong for Milan.
Vidal scored in midweek against Galatasaray and he goes close again here as he fizzes an angled drive narrowly over the bar.
The Juventus players are just looking to run the clock down now as they enjoy a sustained spell of possession. It's been an impressive comeback from Antonio Conte's side after that dreadful first 20 seconds.
Juventus are looking for a fourth but Vidal can only bend his left-footed shot over the crossbar after receiving Pogba's pass.
Incidentally, Allegri has made a defensive change, replacing Robinho with Zaccardo. It seems that he has accepted defeat in this one. I'm sure he will have some strong words to say to Mexes after this match.
The home fans are bouncing inside the Juventus Stadium as the Bianconeri are set to close the gap on Roma to two points. Milan look as though they will remain in the bottom half.
CHIELLINI MAKES IT 3-1! Surely, it's all over for Milan now? Pirlo curls a wonderful free kick over the wall which thunders against the crossbar. However, the ball falls kindly for Chiellini who sweeps the ball into the far corner.
In the aftermath of that Juventus goal, Allegri decided to make his first substitution, throwing on Niang for Nocerino. Can the youngster make a difference?
What is Mexes doing? The French defender inexplicably attempts a backpass by the byline but ends up kicking the ball against himself and concedes the corner. Fortunately for him, it comes to nothing.
1 minute 48 seconds - that's the amount of time it took for Giovinco to score after coming off the bench!
Yellow CardPhilippe Mexes
GIOVINCO MAKES IT 2-1! Vidal slips a brilliant reverse pass into Giovinco's feet and the striker jinks inside Zapata before firing past Abbiati. Inspirational substitution from Conte.
THE ATOMIC ANT IS ON! Second substitution for Juventus as Giovinco replaces the disappointing Quagliarella. Can he seize his opportunity?
TWO GOOD CHANCES FOR JUVENTUS! First of all, Abbiati does well to palm away Pogba's fiercely-struck shot before Asamoah drags a shot wide of the target from the left corner of the box.
Without Balotelli, El Shaarawy and Kaka, Milan would consider this a very good point. However, they are showing no signs of relent in their attacks and continue to search for the lead.
DE JONG GOES CLOSE! Juventus half-clear a corner to the edge of the box and the Dutchman angles his body superbly before fizzing a half volley narrowly wide of the target. Superb technique.
Quagliarella will still be wondering how he missed that earlier chance and he opts to redeem himself with an ambitious long-range effort, but the ball bounces narrowly wide.
ASAMOAH GOES CLOSE! The Ghanaian cuts inside from the left and his first shot is well blocked by Abate. However, the rebound falls kindly for him and his right-footed drive flashes narrowly over.
Pirlo swings in a teasing cross from the right but De Jong produces a superb acrobatic clearance to prevent the ball from reaching Tevez at the near post.
In fact, it seems that Pogba will actually play on the right-hand side. Will it prove to be an inspired substitution from Conte?
Antonio Conte opts to make the first substitution of the game, introducing Pogba in place of Padoin. It seems Vidal may shift out to the right.
Juventus break from the corner and Marchisio lines up a shot from the edge of the box which is well blocked by Abate. Pogba is stripped on the touchline.
ROBINHO GOES CLOSE! Matri does brilliantly to spot the run of the Brazilian and he slips a wonderful reverse ball beyond Bonucci and into the path of Robinho, whose shot takes a vital deflection off of Buffon and goes behind for a corner.
THAT'S NAUGHTY FROM MEXES! Pirlo whips in a corner and Mexes throws Chiellini to the floor and appears to hit him in the back of the head. However, the referee does not see the incident and after the Juventus centre-back receives treatment, play continues.
Juventus attack down the other end and Vidal's dipping strike forces Abbiati to make a smart save to his left. Great start to the second half.
It is Milan who threaten first in the second half though as Montolivo's long-range effort is well held by Buffon.
Into the second half here but no goal within the first 20 seconds for Milan this time!
HT: Juventus 1-1 Milan. Sulley Muntari's opportunist effort gave Allegri's side a dream start after just 20 seconds before Andrea Pirlo's trademark free kick drew the Bianconeri level. It's been a wonderful first half at the Juventus Stadium, with both sides determined to attack and seal a valuable three points. Let's hope for more of the same in the second half.
Juventus get caught out with their sloppy passing at the back again but Milan cannot take advantage as Muntari's ball forward is easily intercepted by Barzagli.
Matri looks to get in between Barzagli and Bonucci and he does well to meet Montolivo's chipped pass before his header loops onto the top of the net.
PENALTY APPEAL TURNED DOWN FOR JUVENTUS! Tevez's runs are causing all sorts of problems for Milan and he goes down under contact from Constant. However, the referee adjudges that the Argentine went down too easily and waves away the appeals.
Milan are looking to pick up any scraps on the edge of the Juventus box and Pirlo's error is well seized upon by Robinho. However, the Brazilian's through ball is well intercepted by Barzagli before the ball goes behind for a corner.
Padoin is providing a good outlet from right wing-back but this time Vidal's pass out to the right is poor and the ball runs out for a goal kick.
The rain is absolutely pouring down here as both sides go in search of the lead. It's certainly a heated contest however and Nocerino and Asamoah have a fiery confrontation on the touchline.
Montolivo is enjoying himself in a more advanced midfield role but he cannot get his strike on target and slices the ball wide of the top right-hand corner.
Vidal's vision has caused Milan problems at the back and he finds Quagliarella in the box once again. The forward lays the ball off for Tevez, whose shot is well blocked by Abate. It wouldn't have counted though as the linesman's flag was raised.
A mistake from Tevez allows Milan an opportunity to attack. Montolivo slips the ball out to the left for Matri but his first touch is poor and Barzagli steals the ball away.
This is a good spell for Milan but they cannot find that incise pass in the final third and are forced to go for the long ball over the top. Can Matri open his Rossoneri account today against his former employers? He's been quiet so far.
Robinho hasn't seen too much of the ball so far but he nearly pokes the ball through for Matri, only to see Bonucci make a crucial interception.
After that heavy Juventus pressure, Milan have started to settle again and Zapata forces Buffon into a fine save with his dipping effort towards the bottom left corner.
Yellow CardLeonardo Bonucci
Leonardo Bonucci picks up a yellow card when he nudges his forehead against that of Robinho's after the Brazilian went down easily. I'm sure some fans will feel that merits a red card.
Juventus are looking to break quickly and Zapata makes a crucial interception to prevent Tevez from racing onto Vidal's through ball. There's certainly more goals in this one.
Absolutely rocking atmosphere at the Juventus Stadium and rightfully so as we have a superb contest on display. Fantastic opening 20 minutes full of goalmouth action.
JUVENTUS SHOULD BE AHEAD! Moments after Bonucci heads Pirlo's free kick just wide, Tevez somehow fails to divert the ball into the net when he connects with Vidal's flick-on almost two yards out from goal.
Yellow CardKevin Constant
Kevin Constant joins De Jong in the book when he brings down Tevez on the right side of the box. The Argentine's movement is causing all sorts of problems.
PIRLO MAKES IT 1-1! The Juventus set-piece specialist curls the ball over the wall and despite Abbiati's best efforts, the Rossoneri goalkeeper cannot keep out the former-Milan midfielder's exquisite attempt. What a game!
Yellow CardNigel De Jong
BOOKING FOR DE JONG! Tevez races towards goal before being brought down on the edge of the box by the Dutchman. That means De Jong will be suspended for the next match against Udinese. This is Pirlo territory.
Juventus are frantically searching for an equaliser and Tevez's goalbound shot is well blocked by Zapata who shuffles the loose ball nervously behind for another corner.
ABBIATI SAVES AGAIN! This time, Chiellini strides forward and his powerful left-footed drive is pushed over the bar by Abbiati for a corner.
Carlos Tevez is pulling off the Milan centre-backs into space intelligently but his jinking run is brought to a halt by Mexes' brilliant tackle. Great tempo to this match.
MUCH BETTER FROM JUVENTUS! Conte's side have finally sprung to life and Abbiati needs to be alert to punch away Asamoah's stinging right-footed drive. Can they find an equaliser?
WHAT A MISS FROM QUAGLIARELLA! Nocerino is playing the forward onside and Quagliarella collects Vidal's neat through ball inside the box before blazing over from close range. That should have been 1-1!
De Jong has made an impressive start in front of the Milan back four and he anticipates the play brilliantly to prevent Tevez from latching onto Padoin's pass.
Milan are looking comfortable here and they are getting the ball down and passing it around well. Allegri is still berating orders from the touchline.
What a scintillating start for Milan, who were written off by many ahead of this contest. We've yet to see a real response from Juventus.
GOOOOAALL!! Muntari opens the scoring inside of 20 seconds! Nocerino's cross-shot is going miles wide by the Ghanaian adjust his feet and manages to divert it inside of Buffon's near post. Milan lead 1-0!
And we are off at Juventus Stadium!
There will be a minute of silence before the game for the victims of the Lampedusa catastrophe, which saw at least 137 migrants lose their lives.
The two sides are out on the pitch at Juventus Stadium, and the pre-match formalities are getting under way. Not long until kick off now!
That result is needed against a Juve side that has not lost at home since January of this year. Nine wins and two draws have followed since they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sampdoria at the start of the year.
In their three away games in the league this season, the Rossoneri have conceded at least two goals each time. Massimiliano Allegri is coming under immense pressure already this season. A negative result against one of the Italian big guns will certainly add to that.
For the hosts, Mirko Vucinic and Stephan Lichtsteiner miss out due to injury, while Paul Pogba is dropped to the bench as Antonio Conte favours a more-experienced midfield trio. The Bianconeri are yet to be defeated in the league this season and will be keen to maintain that record tonight.
So, Alessandro Matri makes his return to the Juventus Stadium, having swapped it for the San Siro in the summer. He is yet to find the net in Serie A for Milan yet; what a better way to open his league account for the club than with a goal tonight?
Milan (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Abate, Zapata, Mexes, Constant; Muntari, De Jong, Nocerino; Montolivo; Robinho, Matri.
Juventus (3-5-2): Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Padoin, Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal, Asamoah; Tevez, Quagliarella.
There is no Mario Balotelli for the visitors tonight, as he serves the final game of his suspension following his dismissal against Napoli last month. Stephan El Shaarawy and Kaka also remain sidelined through injury, so the Rossoneri will have to put in plenty of hard work tonight. But without further ado, here are the teams...
Hello and welcome to tonight's live commentary on the mouth-watering Serie A clash between Scudetto holders Juventus and AC Milan. Turin is our destination for this evening, where the Bianconeri will be hoping for a win to put themselves back on level terms with second-placed Napoli. The Rossoneri, meanwhile, will want to take at least a point in order to move out of the bottom half of the table.
