Louis van Gaal has named a 21-man squad for Friday's World Cup qualifing match, with midfielders Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben and goalkeeper Tim Krul all omitted due to injury.

Roma's Maarten Stekelenburg looks set to replace the Newcastle stopper between the sticks, while Rafael van der Vaart is set to start alongside Nigel de Jong and Kevin Strootman in absence of the Inter playmaker. Van Gaal is reportedly ready to hand Ruben Schaken his international debut, with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Jeremain Lens occupying the other two forward slots.

Andorra head coach Koldo Alvarez could recall Marc Vales into the starting lineup, following the 22-year-old's return from suspension. Josep Ayala is likely to drop to the bench as a result, with Ivan Lorenzo and Sebastian Gomez retaining their starting spots up top.

  • Netherlands will be looking for their third consecutive victory when they welcome European minnows Andorra to De Kuip on Friday.
  • Oranje are currently second in the Group D standings, tied on six points with leaders Romania. The visitors are yet to win a point in the World Cup qualifiers.

  • The sides have met a total of four times, with Netherlands triumphing on each occasion.
  • Friday's visitors currently sit 201st in the Fifa ranking. Netherlands occupy sixth place.
  • Andorra have just one competitive victory to their name - a 1-0 victory over Macedonia in the 2006 World Cup Qualifyers.

  • Rafael van der Vaart (pictured, right) returns after being left out of his nation's opening two World Cup qualifiers - incidentally the two games since he won his 100th cap. Oscar Sonejee is the most experienced figure in the visitors' squad, having made over 85 appearances to date.

  • Despite Van der Vaart being the deputy captain during Bert van Marwijk's reign, PSV's Kevin Strootman is in line to skipper Oranje in absence of Wesley Sneijder on Friday.
