Live Commentary

  • That's it from the SGL Arena where Borussia Dortmund have ran out comfortable winners thanks to Marco Reus and Robert Lewandoswki. Thank you very much for joining me and stay tuned to for reports, ratings and reaction to today's game as well as more Bundesliga coverage over the weekend!
  • That win takes Jorgen Klopp's side up to fourth in the table with 19 points. Meanwhile Augsburg stay rooted to the bottom of the table. On the bright side they have ended their goal drought.
  • Full-Time: Augsburg 1-3 Dortmund. Ostrzolek stung the hands of Weidenfeller with basically the last kick of the game but the final result was obvious long before. A routine victory for Dortmund in the end.
  • 90'
We are into three minutes of stoppage time. Dortmund have taken there foot of the gas and the job is as good as done.
  • 87'
Augsburg are still creating chances and it's that man Molders causing problems again. He rises highest to meet a corner but can only guide the ball into the side netting. The home fans must be wondering why he wasn't playing from the start.
  • 86'
    Yellow Card Roman Weidenfeller
  • 85'
    SubstitutionMarco Reus Oliver Kirch
  • 85'
Meanwhile Dortmund make their final change as Marco Reus makes way for Oliver Kirch.
  • 84'
    SubstitutionKevin Vogt Aristide Bancé
  • 84'
last through of the dice for Augsburg as they bring on striker Aristide Bance for midfielder Vogt. They've not given up hope yet.
  • 81'
    Assist Matthias Ostrzolek
  • 81'
    Goal Sascha Mölders
GOAL!! Augsburg 1-3 Dortmund. Ah well obviously bot as weary as some of the Dortmund players. Sascha Molders nets Augsburg's first goal in four matches after heading home from Ostrzolek's cross.Surely only a conslation though.
  • 80'
There is a lot of space in the midfield at the moment, created by some very weary looking Augsburg players. This could get worse for them before the final whistle.
  • 78'
Leitner was on loan at Augsburg last season and he's already causing his old team-mates problems as Langkamp needs a last ditch clearance to deny the 19-year old from pulling the trigger.
  • 76'
    SubstitutionMario Götze Moritz Leitner
  • 76'
And that was Gotze's last involvement as well as he makes way for Moritz Leitner.
  • 76'
Schieber's first action is to find the side-netting. Gotze shows great awareness to find the former Stuttgart man but he can't quite steer his effort on target.
  • 74'
    SubstitutionRobert Lewandowski Julian Schieber
  • 73'
Lewandowski makes away for Julian Schieber after completing his brace. Dortmund haven't really asserted themselves today but are running out comfortable winners. Not a great sign for Augsburg.
  • 70'
    Assist Marco Reus
  • 70'
    Goal Robert Lewandowski
GOAL!!! Augsburg 0-3 Dortmund. Game well and truly over. Lewandoswki picks up the ball in the Augsburg half and plays Gotze through the centre who then commits the goalkeeper and flicks the ball back into Lewandowski's path for him to notch his second of the game.
  • 69'
    SubstitutionTorsten Oehrl Sascha Mölders
  • 69'
Torsten Oehrl makes way for Sascha Molders. The striker has only recently returned from injury and has netted four goals in three games for the reserves. Could he be the answer to Augsburg's goalscoring woes?
  • 66'
Good hit from Schmelzer who fires back in a shot after Augsburg fail to fully clear their lines from a corner but it deflects wide. Jentzsch will have been relieved to see that blocked, that ball was moving at some pace.
  • 64'
It really was a glorious chance for Augsburg. Musona didn't have a lot of time to readjust himself but he only needed to find the target from inside the six yard box. Up the other end Lewandowski heads over for Dortmund.
  • 62'
Musona could've, and really should've scored with hi firsst touch. Weidenfeller does really well to get down and parry Ottl's shot but it falls straight to the substitute but he can only hit the upright. Bad miss.
  • 60'
    SubstitutionTobias Werner Knowledge Musona
  • 60'
First substitution of the match as the hosts bring on Knowledge Musona for Tobias Werner. Let's see if Knowledge can provide the power!
  • 58'
    Yellow Card Kevin Vogt
  • 58'
Booking for Kevin Vogt as the midfielder goes in a bit too hard on Grosskreutz for the referee's liking.
  • 55'
Dortmund look like they're in business now and only a good covering from Langkamp denies Lewandowski from getting on the end of Gotze's centre.
  • 53'
Good response from Augsburg and again its Tobias Werner who swings in the ball but Oehrl can't quite reach it.
  • 51'
    Assist Mario Götze
  • 51'
    Goal Robert Lewandowski
GOAL!!! Augsburg 0-2 Dortmund. The visitors resort to route one football with instant reward. Gotze does well to control a long ball down the field and he flicks it inside for the onrushing Lewandoswki who manages to squeeze the ball under Jentzsch. Big task now for Augsburg to get anything out of this game.
  • 50'
Fantastic cross from Piszczek who picks out Reus at the back post who fires a first-time volley towards goal but its blocked by his team mate Gotze.
  • 50'
Fantastic cross from Piszczek who picks out Reus at the back post who fires a first-time volley towards goal but its blocked by his team mate Gotze.
  • 49'
Handball given agaisnt Schmelzer and the home side have the chance to swing the ball into the box but Gundogan is up to clear.
  • 47'
Hmm, that was very tight. Werner plays Koo in with a lofted ball but the attack is cut short by the linesman who flags for offside. On second viewing though the Augsburg player looks onside. That was with the luxury of a video replay though.
  • 46'
We're back underway here. Can Augsburg continue to cause Dortmund problems? The home crowd will certainly be hoping so.
  • Jurgen Klopp and his side have just come out of the dressing room looking a little sheepish. I don't think the manager was all that impressed by their first half display against the bottom club.
  • That goal was actually Dortmund's first ever goal on this ground. They were held to a 0-0 draw earlier this year when they met Augsburg at the SGL Arena for the first time. They'll be hopeful of adding to that tally in the second half and to be honest they'll probably need to.
  • I've seen Marco Reus's free-kick a number of times now and keeps getting better every time I see it. It's postage stamp stuff from the German and Jentzsch didn't stand a chance in the Augsburg goal.
  • Halftime: Augsburg 0-1 Dortmund. The hosts are far from out of this but as has been the case all season long their finishing is letting them down. Dortmund have shown flashes of genius but still look tired after their Bernabeu heroics.
  • 45'
So close to a second for Dortmund and right on half time as well. Grosskruetz releases Reus down the left and his cut back lands at the feet of Gotze who slips the ball onto his right foot and thunders an effort against the post.
  • 44'
That should have been the equaliser. Daniel Baier finds himself in acres of space in the box and cracks an effort from eight yards out which Weidenfeller has to parry over the crossbar. It wouldn't have been undeserved either.
  • 42'
Not long left in the half and we haven't had much action since Reus's opener.
  • 40'
    Yellow Card Sebastian Langkamp
Sore one for Lewandoski as his foot appears to get trapped under Sebastian Langkamp. The central defender is booked for the challenge, Lewandowski is fine to continue.
  • 39'
Felipe Santana is looking fairly solid at centre back so far during his first start of the season for the Bundesliga champions. He's replaced Neven Subotic after his tough shift against Real Madrid midweek.
  • 37'
Good feet from Gotze as he dances his way through the Augsburg box but he can't quite get his pass away to Grosskreutz.
  • 35'
My word that was close! Werner surges down the left once again and this time the ball comes back in field to find Oehrl on the edge of the area who's half volley rasps just wide. Closest the hosts have come so far.
  • 33'
Dortmund are struggling to assert their authority here, Lewandoswki gives away a needless foul up front.
  • 30'
    Yellow Card Sven Bender
Koo has just gone down off the ball after colliding with Schmelzer but the referee isn't interested. He does however book Sven Bender after waving play on from a previous foul.
  • 30'
Koo seems absolutely fine now after a bit of down time with the turf. On second viewing Schmelzer did seem to make a bit of a move towards the Korean.
  • 26'
That does not help the Augsburg cause at all! The home side look to mount a menacing looking counter but the attack is thwarted by the leg of referee Manuel Grafe who unwittingly stops the counter threat in its tracks.
  • 24'
Augsburg ball retention is just starting to suffer a bit here. Dortmund are beginning to close down a bit quicker and the home side are feeling the pressure.
  • 22'
Penalty shout for Dortmund as Lewandoswki twists his way into the box but the only outcome is a corner for the visitors which is cleared at the near post.
  • 19'
Tobias Werner is causing Pisczczek a few problems down the right flank. If Augsburg can get back into this game you feel he could be the man to create the chance.
  • 17'
Well that might go someway to explaining why Augsburg are the lowest scorers in the Bundesliga this season. Werner gets down the left and sends in a delicious cross for striker Oehrl but he gets his connection all wrong and his effort sails over the bar.
  • 14'
More neat play in the midfield from the home side and after a good exchange with Ottl, Daniel Baier lets fly from 25 yards. It's straight at Weidenfeller on this occasion but Ausburg are not lying down.
  • 11'
Almost an instant reply from the hosts as Matthias Ostrzolek connects with a cross but Weidenfeller is on hand to tip the ball away.
  • 9'
    Goal Marco Reus
GOAL!!! What a free-kick that is! Gotze is fouled on the edge of the area but the situation looks more suited for a cross as Marco Reus shapes up to take. The midfielder has other ideas though and fires the ball into the far top corner.
  • 5'
Good early chance from the hosts and its Werner who forces Weidenfeller into the save. He parries it back into the area where Piszczek's miscue almost causes more danger but it's eventually cleared.
  • 3'
First real attack down the right from the visitors, who have an amazing away following at the game today. Schmelzer gets past his man to swing in a cross but it's behind everyone and eventually cleared.
