The hosts fell behind to a Steven Caulker header before a second half rally led by Sergio Aguero and finished by 'super-sub' Eden Dzeko secured all three points for Mancini's side
Could he have done better on Spurs' opener? Perhaps, but Caulker's header was firm and only a few yards out, leaving Hart's attempted save owing more to fortune than skill. Was a spectator for the rest of the game.

Vincent Kompany
Solid at the heart of the defence but twice had to exert his authority as captain to calm a number of irate team-mates. Headed over from a corner when perhaps he could have done better.

Pablo Zabaleta
Petulantly got himself embroiled in an argument with Adebayor before stupidly bringing him down to get booked on the half hour mark. Took a whack to the face that drew blood but soldiered on.

Aleksandar Kolarov
Operated from the left wing but was wasteful from set pieces and lost Caulker for the opener before fading dramatically from the game.

Gael Clichy
Kept Lennon quiet in the first half before moving to a more central role early in the second period. Had a solid, dependable game and snuffed out any danger that came his way.

Matija Nastasic
Got away with a misjudged header from a Spurs long throw and fell heavily later on in the first half. Withdrawn early into the second half as City changed shape.

Gareth Barry
Tried to keep things ticking over but his passing was wayward and he lost possession on a number of occasions. When he's like this you wonder what his value is to a team.

David Silva
Flickered briefly at the beginning of the game until Spurs woke up but still had the class and presence of mind to pepper the away team's backline with incisive passes. Scampered around the Spurs box late in the game but just fired the ball wide. Saved his best til last though, clipping a delightful pass over the defence for Dzeko's winner.

Yaya Touré
Wasn't at his marauding best and had to drop deeper to find the ball. Was in the wars somewhat and it affected his mobility as the game wore on.

Top of the Match
Gave Gallas a torrid time and was unfortunate not to get a penalty after the Frenchman handled his flick inside the box. Continued to probe and though he miscontrolled a fabulous chance he raced onto a loose ball to turn Caulker and slot home the equaliser. Almost won it but Friedel denied his snapshot. Taken off to a standing ovation.

Found the going tough and though he linked play well, he struggled to find an opening in front of goal. Frustrated by the number of offside decisions against him but his dangerous low cross was begging to be tapped in. Subbed for Dzeko.

Early second half substitution and slotted in at right wing-back. Fired a tremendous low cross into the six-yard box that just needed a touch.

Edin Dzeko
Came on with 20 minutes to play. Teed up Aguero with a brilliant backheel before he linked up well with Silva in the dying minutes and volleyed past Friedel to win the game and ensure the 'super-sub' tag remains.
Was unbelievably slow off his line whenever he was required to mop up but his handling was solid from the pot shots that came his way. Could do little about the equaliser, which was well swept beyond him but saw the winner go through him. Creaking.

Jan Vertonghen
Battled well at the back to deny City's wide men the space to drill balls across the box and continued his impressive form with the ball, galloping forward when the time arose. Suffered a thigh knock in the second half that took the wind from his sails and he struggled late in the game.

Flop of the Match
Very fortunate not to concede a penalty after allowing Aguero room to spin and flick the ball off his flailing arm. Generally looked like an accident waiting to happen and was later moved to right-back where he coped better.

Kyle Walker
Booked early on for a crude tackle and looked flustered in and out of possession, summed up by one wild hack across his box when a clearance was needed and an overhit pass to Lennon wasted a great opportunity. Subbed after picking up a knock.

Steven Caulker
Opened the scoring with a full-blooded header from six yards out but didn't look comfortable on the back foot. Was too easily sold by Aguero for the equaliser and was pulled into the channels too often. Is weak on his left foot which makes it strange that he plays as the left centre-back. One of his least impressive games in a Spurs shirt.

Roamed behind Adebayor and held the ball well at times but struggled to really impact the game and tired as he chased between the lines.

Delivered the telling cross for Caulker and almost doubled the lead as his shot zipped inches wide. Possibly a touch lucky not to concede a penalty when he barged Zabaleta over but showed he is finding his form and fitness.

An unusually subdued performance saw his best opportunities come from ill-advised long range efforts. Worked hard defensively but needed more from him going forward.

Sandro
Doubts over his fitness quickly abated as he crashed into Silva before chopping Aguero down on a later break. He was at his ferocious best against a powerful City midfield and even left the gigantic Yaya Toure in a heap after one aerial challenge. Imperious performance by the Brazilian.

Emmanuel Adebayor
The former City striker was heavily involved and almost assisted Huddlestone for Tottenham's second before getting into a tangle with Zabaleta, something he intelligently later used to his advantage to draw the Argentine into a foul and booking. Held the ball up superbly on his own and regularly came away from scraps involving two or three City defenders with the ball. Picked up a yellow for a forearm to the nose of Zabaleta and quickly subbed.
