KCB remained win less after they failed to beat Stima a result that could trigger changes in the technical bench headed by coach of the year

Western Stima thrashed Kenya Commercial Bank 3-0 in a closely fought Kenya Premier League match played at City Stadium on Saturday.

Collins Netto opened the scores in 5th minute scoring from the corner kick when he shot directly in goal. In the 37th minute Neto doubled the lead with Wesley Kemboi completing the scores in full time.

The visitors deserved to pick maximum points as they were the better side for a good part of this encounter. Their first corner of the match ended up in the net and it just gave them the impetus to want more.

The bankers should have easily pulled back an equalizer in the 30th minute but Paul Kiongera's header went just wide. But while the bankers missed, Stima used that opportunity to extend their lead with Collins Neto heading home a well executed free-kick from Shaffik Batambuze.

Coming back into the second half, the bankers should have pulled one back but Kiongera was once again wasteful after he failed to beat Ben Roberts in goal from a rebound. But while the bankers continued to waste their chances, the power men were more precise and from a long shot Wesley Kemboi simply tapped home to add more misery on coach Abdallah Juma.

Stima coach Henry Omino was a happy man afterwards. “We are happy to have picked maximum points. It was not easy to come to Nairobi and get three points against KCB.

“We played well in the first period…defended well and also attacked well. The second period also belonged to my charges. We should have won by a bigger margin but all in all…I am satisfied with the outcome.”
