Gor Mahia will seek to extend their lead at the top of the Kenyan Premier League standings when they play away to Nairobi City Stars at Kasarani on Sunday.
Before last season, City Stars was always a hard nut to crack but Gor Mahia ended that state of affairs by winning their two meetings last year to claim the bragging rights.
This is a move that should give Gor plenty of confidence going into Sunday's match in which the desperately need to widen the gap between themselves and those following them.
After the energy sapping barren draw against champions Tusker on Wednesday, Gor will be forced to dig in deeper against a City Stars side that is desperate to turn around a second leg performance that has not been impressive.
Paul Kiongera and Innocent Mutiso will be deployed upfront in search of goals for Gor while in goal Jerim Onyango is expected to repeat his performance which saw him earn a man of the match award against Tusker on Wednesday.
City Stars have not had a great show in the second leg and know very well that victory over Gor Mahia will turn around their fortunes for going forward and are expected to be at their best.
