Kenya Premier League champions Tusker will miss the services of midfielder Collins ‘Gattuso’ Okoth when they host Gor Mahia in a potentially exciting fixture at Kasarani on Wednesday night.

‘Gattuso’, who has been instrumental in the brewers’ playing unit, has been ruled out through injury. Gor Mahia will have to do without influential strikers Rama Salim and Ugandan important Dan Sserunkuma, both who are said to be chasing professional football in Qatar.

Tusker coach Robert Matano says he is not worried about the form of Gor and would rather do the talking after Wednesday's match which kicks-off at 7pm.

"There is nothing to say really about our opponents. We prefer to let the real football do the talking," he told Goal. Tusker go into the match on the back of last Wednesday's KPL Top 8 victory that has left them inspired to defend their trophy.

The team has been playing very well and managed to squeeze a 1-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday. For goals, Tusker are likely to look up to Jesse Were and Ismael Dunga with Ugandan Robert Omunik providing the crosses.

Gor are enjoying perhaps their biggest advantage at the top of the league with a massive seven points separating them and their next opponents Thika United on the log.

But like they say, going to the top is easy but remaining there is a different matter, Gor Mahia are currently feeling the heat of being at the top and victory against the brewers will see them stretch their lead to ten points but still with a game in hand while Tusker will move to 27 points same as AFC Leopards and Ulinzi Stars if they win.

Coach Bobby Williamson is likely to retain the same team which beat Karuturi Sports 2-1 on Saturday and here Paul Kiongera leads the goal hunt.
