Premier League players who tasted the extremes
2. Nwankwo Kanu
The Nigerian legend had five glorious years with the Gunners, as he won two Premier League titles in the space of three years. However, the emergence of the club legend Thierry Henry saw Kanu being dropped to the bench and the Nigerian decided to call it quits on his Arsenal career in 2004. Following a two year spell at West Bromwich Albion, Kanu joined Portsmouth in 2006. His new club was embroiled in a financial crisis in the year 2010 as nine points were docked for seeking bankruptcy protection. This saw the relegation of Portsmouth to the Championship. Further, Kanu also experienced being relegated to League One in the year 2012.
