41. Olivier Giroud
The France international's outstanding performances as Montpellier won a surprise Ligue 1 title earned him not only a place in Les Bleus' Euro 2012 squad, but also a lucrative move to Arsenal. Olivier Giroud tormented French defences time and again last season, scoring 21 goals in Ligue 1 to fire Montpellier to the championship and win himself the French Golden Boot. Yet, despite his impressive goal tally, it is his tireless work ethic, and his desire to also create chances for his team-mates, rather than just finishing them, that attracted the attention of the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. His nine assists last season are tantamount to that fact. Far more than a goalscorer, Giroud has all the weapons needed to become a key player for his new club.
Editor's view - "The France international inspired Montpellier to a shock Ligue 1 title with 21 goals and was one of the revelations of the season for me. He has all the attributes required to be a top striker and this has not gone unnoticed, earning him a transfer to Arsenal this summer." - Luke Matthews - Goal.com International writer
