The Irish marksman who was lethal in front of goal, lit up White Hart Lane as he played there for six years scoring 82 goals in the process. Finishing his first two seasons as top scorer for them, Keane was remarkably sidelined by manager, Martin Jol for the next two seasons. However his persistence and impressive substitute apperances paid off, as he again gradually broke into the first team. However subsequent injuries saw him fail to replicate his early form, and when Liverpool made an offer, Spurs sold him to the Reds, However that was a short-lived affair as January next year, Tottenham bought him back for a second spell which yielded in 11 goals in 41 appearances.
