Josue -  He was one of Sao Paulo's heroes in the campaign that brought them the Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup title in 2005. Along with Mineiro, he was the pillar of the team's midfield. But Josue's popularity in Brazil today is not as high as it once was. Just like what happened with Gilberto Silva and many others, Dunga was criticised for keeping Josue in his group of players. The Brazilian public prefers more offensive minded midfielders like Hernanes, one of Josue's replacements at Sao Paulo. Nonetheless, Wolfsburg's captain quietly continued his work and established himself at the Selecao, booking him a ticket to the World Cup.

Did You Know:

Josue was sent-off in the first minute of the first leg of the Copa Libertadores final in 2006. He elbowed Rafael Sobis, of Internacional. Sao Paulo eventually lost the match, 2-1.
