Felipe Melo - When Dunga called Felipe Melo to the Selecao, there were a lot of eye-brows raised. Melo was enjoying a great season with Fiorentina at the time, but the Brazilian press and public still remembered the unimpressive player that featured for Flamengo, Gremio and Cruzeiro before going to Spain to join Mallorca.
It was in La Liga where Melo started to show all of his potential, especially in the 2007-08 campaign with Almeria. After that, it was off to Fiorentina and finally to Juventus. During this time in Europe, Dunga always kept an eye on him, and eventually called him up. More than that, he trusted Melo to be Gilberto Silva's sidekick in the defensive midfield.
