Mauro German Camoranesi in an Argentina-born midfielder with an Italian passport. He's without a doubt one of the favourite players of Marcello Lippi, a fundamental element for Italy. He started his career in South America: after Mexico, Uruguay and Argentina, Verona bought him in 2000. After a good experience there, he secured a move to Juventus.
He was very loyal to the Old Lady club: after Calciopoli, in 2006, he accepted stayed with the team even in the second division. Lippi appreciates his versatility, he can play like central midfielder, trequartista, or offensive winger. He has become the non-Italian native with the highest number of caps. An unfortunate note, he suffered various niggling injuries over the past couple years.
