The FPAI Awards night that came into existence in 2009 where we saw the likes of Mehrajuddin Wadoo, Sunil Chhetri, Steven Dias and Subasish Roychoudhury move their legs to stun the audience with their abilities apart from those on the field.

The second edition of the awards will take place in New Delhi on the 12th of September at a posh five star hotel in the capital city.

According to FPAI President Bhaichung Bhutia, this year the event is going to be a much bigger affair. “This year we have planned the event to be extra special and the footballers are very excited about it,” he said.

To add to the attraction popular B-town singer and performer Sandeep Vyas, best known for his music composition for the movie ‘Kidnap’, has been invited to perform live on the occasion.

Apart from the celebs India’s best freestylers are expected to woo the audience with their skills. Popularly known as the Street Kings of India, the New Delhi based freestyling group have been the most recognized and accomplished in their field.

FPAI has also planned to felicitate footballers Bhaichung Bhutia for his contribution to Indian football and Deepak Mandal for being honoured with the Arjuna Award recently.

The fans can still log into the FPAI website (www.fpaofindia.com) to cast the vote for their best player of the year with the nominess being Mohammed Rafi, Subrata Paul, Kalu Nnanna, Edmar Figueira and Anthony Pereira.
