Iaquinta: Juventus Are Not Scared Of Any Team
Panto season has come early for the striker as some sceptics are likely to laugh at his latest comments.
The Crotone-born star hit the post against Zenit St Petersburg on Wednesday during his side's 0-0 stalemate with the Russians. The result didn't really affect the Italians as they had already secured qualification for the next phase in matchday 4.
Iaquinta believes it's onwards and upwards in Europe and in Serie A as action resumes.
"We are not scared of anyone," Iaquinta told Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"We showed that we can go to any ground to win and this spirit will become even stronger from the last 16 onwards.
"Against Zenit we showed that we are not scared of any team and that we can compete against the biggest clubs. We have refound our form. The game against Inter was just a minor slip.
"Now the focus turns to Reggina but it will not be easy as they are in good form."
Juventus' flight back home to Turin's Caselle airport was delayed by a couple of hours in Russia but the team are expected to be back by early afternoon.
Claudio Ranieri is due to take a training session later but that depends on the time of arrival in Italy.
