Barcelona president Joan Laporta has launched an attack on Real Madrid, following on from the rumours of a possible move to the capital for Lionel Messi.

Speaking after Barcelona's 4-1 win over Numancia, Laporta said, "They are engaging in a campaign of destabilisation against us, to hide their own problems.

"It is an uneven fight, because they are relying on biased mass media institutions to spread these rumours."

Finally, the Barca president added, "Messi is happy at Barca, and continues to show it in every game."

The Argentine had another excellent match on Saturday night, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
