Bronzetti: Vucinic To Real Is Pure Fantasy
Transfer market mediator Ernesto Bronzetti believes the rumours over Mirko Vucinic joining Real Madrid have no truth.
The Spanish champions are frantically scouring the market in order to find a replacement for injured striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy, who will be out for the remainder of the season after damaging knee ligaments.
The Merengues have been linked with several Serie A-based players in recent weeks, including unsettled Inter marksman Hernan Crespo and former Chelsea flop Andriy Shevchenko, who is struggling to get back into Carlo Ancelotti’s good graces at the Stadio San Siro.
Spanish and Italian media have suggested that Roma ace Mirko Vucinic could also be a target, but FIFA agent Bronzetti doubts the Montenegrin can hold any appeal for the Bernabeu side.
“This supposed interest from Real is pure fantasy,” Bronzetti insisted on Forzaroma.info.
“They are just after Crespo and then will swoop for another big-name star at the end of this season.
“Vucinic would not be eligible to play in the Champions League now and Real would also have problems registering him, as he is from a non-EU country.”
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Crespo’s agent Fernando Hidalgo will fly out to Madrid this morning to start negotiations with the Galacticos.
