The former Olympique de Marseille and France full-back believes that, despite his fleeting PSG appearances, the youngster deserves to go to the World CupLucas Digne is a "monster of a player" and deserves to be in France's World Cup 2014 team ahead of the likes of Patrice Evra and Gael Clichy, according to Eric Di Meco.
Manchester United's Evra and Manchester City's Clichy have a wealth of international experience and it would be a surprise if either were left out of Didier Deschamps' for the Brazil tournament this summer.
Although Digne is far from an outright first-team left-back at Paris Saint-Germain - with Maxwell his competition at PSG - the former Bleus star believes that the 20-year-old is superior player in comparison to the French veterans.
"I can see Lucas Digne going to the World Cup without any doubt, even if he plays only a game or two for PSG," Di Meco told RMC.
"Regarding his supposed defensive problems, compared to so-called phenomenons such as Evra or Clichy that we have, Digne is a monster of a player.
"With Maxwell, he will play a match or two. When you play for PSG, that is enough."
Digne, 20, has featured eight times for PSG in Ligue 1 this campaign.
