M'Vila to blame for France exile, says Deschamps
The Rubin Kazan midfielder has been frozen out of the national team and the Bleus boss has no intention of recalling him
France coach Didier Deschamps has said that Yann M’Vila only has himself to blame for being banned from the national side. The midfielder received a 20-month ban from the national team after visiting a nightclub before November's Under-21 game with Norway.
The suspension was later reduced to four months, but the former Olympique de Marseille boss feels the player's past actions mean he does not warrant a recall.
"He only hurts himself, why would I want [him to return]?" Deschamps told reporters.
"He is responsible for his life. It's a waste for him."
M'Vila made 22 appearances for les Bleus, representing them at Euro 2012.
