TEAM NEWS: Adler starts for Germany in return to international football

The Hamburg goalkeeper makes a first national appearance since 2010 as Deschamps opts for Newcastle star Moussa Sissoko in midfield

France coach Didier Deschamps has made only two changes from the side that beat Italy 2-1 in their previous international friendly back in November.

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema replaces Arsenal's Olivier Giroud from the starting line-up, with Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko handed his seventh cap as a reward for his impressive performance against Chelsea in the Premier League.

Paris Saint-Germain's Mamadou Sakho is preferred to Adil Rami in the heart of defence, with Franck Ribery in line to face the nation in which he plies his trade in.

For Germany, coach Joachim Low had to contend with an already depleted squad due to injuries as they make the short trip to Paris, aiming to avenge last year's 2-1 defeat in Bremen.

Ilkay Gundogan passes a late test to feature alongside Sami Khedira in midfield, with Mario Gomez handed his 58th cap following Miroslav Klose's withdrawal.

Arsenal's Per Mertesacker again takes his place at the back alongside Mats Hummels, as Rene Adler returns from the international wilderness to start.

Kick-off at the Stade de France is at 21:00 CET.

France (4-3-3): Lloris; Debuchy, Sakho, Koscielny, Evra, Matuidi, Sissoko, Cabaye; Valbuena, Ribery, Benzema.

Germany (4-2-3-1): Adler - Lahm, Mertesacker, Hummels, Howedes - Khedira, Gundogan - T. Müller, Ozil, Kroos - Gomez
