The versatile Dutchman is desperate to prove his worth for the national team, and is ready to feature wherever the coach needs himUrby Emanuelson has made it clear that he would happily play at left-back for Netherlands if trainer Louis van Gaal asks him to play in defence.
The 26-year-old generally features in midfield for AC Milan, but faces stiff competition from players such as Rafael van der Vaart and Kevin Strootman for his preferred position as left midfielder.
Nevertheless, Emanuelson is ready to play in whatever position the coach needs him as he's desperate to get playing time.
"It would not be a problem for me to play at left-back. Everybody wants to get playing time and so do I," Emanuelson told reporters.
"I'm feeling very well. Things are a bit difficult at Milan, but I have a good feeling about my own performances.
"I will do my utmost here and we'll see whether I'll get playing time."
Netherlands are struggling at left-back because of the absence of Erik Pieters and Jetro Willems due to injury.
