The Brazilian has dismissed the claim that he was on the verge of joining Carlo Ancelotti's side during the January transfer window and reiterated that he is happy at San Siro

AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato has moved to dismiss persistent rumours linking him with Paris Saint-Germain, insisting that he has never received an official offer from the Ligue 1 outfit.

The 22-year-old striker was allegedly on the verge of moving to the Parc des Princes during the January transfer window only to have a reported change of heart and declare his desire to remain at San Siro.

Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani subsequently revealed that the collapse of Pato's proposed transfer to PSG had scuppered their bid to sign Carlos Tevez from Manchester City, but the Brazilian is now claiming that he was never close to relocating to the French capital.

"There have been many rumors about me, but I never recieved an official offer from PSG," he told TV show Esporte Espetacular.

Despite ongoing speculation over his future, Pato reiterated that he has no desire to leave Milan this summer and that his sole concern is recovering from the nagging thigh problems which have sidelined him for most of this season.

"I just want to return to playing again, so I can demonstrate my worth," he explained. "I want return to the highest level with Milan and Brazil. I want to play well and score goals.

"Football is my job and I love it. I live for football. I will be happy once I can run and kick the ball again without any problems."

Pato, who joined Milan from Internacional in 2007, has been restricted to just 11 appearances in Serie A this season.
