Barcelona's Gabriel Milito Hits Out At Argentina Treatment Of Brother Diego
The defender is delighted at rejoining the Albiceleste squad for September's Spain test- but also believes his older brother should have far more caps for the Seleccion...

Gabriel Milito today spoke of his delight in being called up once more to the Argentina set up by Sergio Batista; while also hitting out at Argentine coaches and public for not giving enough support to his brother, Inter forward Diego.
Milito's call up gives him the opportunity to pull on the Albiceleste colours once again after a long time out of the squad due to injury. Speaking to TyC Sports, the Barcelona defender admitted it was wonderful to be included once more.
"This call up comes to me in a great moment, and it makes me very happy to be there again. This new regime fills me with hope", the former Independiente star revealed, referring to the new era in Argentine football under Sergio Batista.
Milito's joy was however tinged with a hint of anger, as he spoke out against the supposed raw deal that brother Diego has received from various Seleccion coaches over the years. The 31 year old Champions League hero has received just 22 caps in seven years being part of the Albiceleste; a number that Gaby believes is inexcusable
"The Seleccion owes a debt to him. In Argentina he has never had the recognition that he deserved, and that he receives in Europe."
"He wasn't lucky enough to find a coach that put total trust in him, even if he didn't score for five straight games. He has always felt unhappy for having so few chances."
