The Uruguayan has often found himself playing in an unfamiliar wide role since joining the club from Napoli last summer, leading to some suggestions that the duo cannot be played in the same team.
However, the Qatari has insisted that Cavani has formed a devestating strike force with the Swede and is delighted to have the 27-year-old at the club.
"Edi is one of the best players in the world," he told Le Parisien.
"He's an incredible athlete who can score whenever and wherever. He's a real fighter. He and Ibra complement each other, they both have their own style.
"They're a very efficient duo."
Paris Saint-Germain, who are currently eight points clear at the top of Ligue 1, can book a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they host Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday,
