PSG determiined to hold on to Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti - PSG

The agent says PSG are placing obstacles in the way of their coach's departure because of a dearth of adequate replacements, he also expects Edinson Cavani to stay at Napoli

Paris Saint-Germain are blocking Carlo Ancelotti's move to Real Madrid because of fears they will not be able to replace him, according to Fifa agent Arnesto Bronzetti.

The 53-year-old has recently reiterated his desire to leave Parc de Princes during the summer, with the Blancos said to be interested in luring him to the Spanish capital to replace the outgoing Jose Mourinho.

However, les Parisiens have so far rejected the coach's appeals to release him from his contract - which runs until 2014 - and Bronzetti believes the club's reluctance is rooted in the belief that there are no viable candidates available to replace their title-winning trainer.

"We will go to Paris in the coming days and try to resolve his situation. He has wanted to leave since December so he had to be hunted," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"Since then he said he would not stay beyond the current season. Now PSG are putting some obstacles in his way because they have no options to replace him with.

"They called Mourinho who said he was in stand-by mode, but they lost him when he decided to move to Chelsea.

"It is my dream to bring Ancelotti to Madrid. This is the third time I've tried."

The agent went on to dismiss Real Madrid's interest in Napoli striker Edinson Cavani and believes he will remain at Stadio San Paolo beyond this summer.

"Real Madrid have never placed a bid for Cavani. That is for sure," he added. "At most we can only say that they have been monitoring his situation. That's it. I personally believe Cavani will remain at Napoli."
