Manchester United Target Toulouse Striker Andre-Pierre Gignac – Report
Toulouse to lose the striker, according to reports...
United yesterday completed the signing of Wigan Athletic midfielder Antonio Valencia for £16 million pounds as they started to spend the €93 million (£80m) windfall they will receive from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.
According to a report in UK tabloid The Daily Star, Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson could spend big again on Gignac, who is believed to be valued at €12.8 million.
Blackburn Rovers have already been linked with the French forward this summer after he top-scored in Ligue 1 last season.
Gignac has become an important figure at Toulouse after the departure of Swedish striker Johan Elmander to Bolton Wanderers last year.
United are reportedly still on the trail of another hitman in France, Lyon's Karim Benzema, though the fee needed to pry the player away from his club will be anything but nominal.
