The 27 year old Marseille midfielder has said he has two matches to convince Laurent Blanc that he deserves a place in Poland and Ukraine.

Olympique de Marseille's Morgan Amalfitano has said that he hopes to be called up by Laurent Blanc for France's Euro 2012 campaign, despite an indifferent club season.

The 27 year old midfielder made his international debut for Les Bleus in the 2-1 victory over Germany in February, but has since fallen off the radar with L'OM enduring an poor run of form.

Amalfitano, who joined Didier Deschamps' side on a free transfer from Lorient last summer, hopes that hasn't impacted on his chances to be included in the preliminary squad.

"I must be efficient, I still have two games for me to show [my ability], we'll see. My fingers are crossed," the midfielder told the club's official website.

"I never put the cart before the horse. I will not start now."

Blanc named the first of two preliminary squads, comprised of foreign-based players, on Wednesday. The second, which will feature Ligue 1-based players, will be announced on May 15th.

Amalfitano meanwhile has enjoyed a good first season for L'OM, scoring two goals and producing nine assists in 48 appearances this campaign.

Marseille host Auxerre on Sunday at 21.00CET in their final home game of the season at Stade Velodrome.
