Italy coach Cesare Prandelli is looking forward to his return to Florence when his side take on the Faroe Islands on Tuesday night.

La Nazionale hope to make it two wins in two, and Prandelli hopes his former club side's fans get behind his players.

"It will be an emotional return, but my children will be in the stands and I will look at them. I wouldn't have left Florence had it not been for the national team," he told Rai Sport.

And the focus quickly turned to the pitch as the coach sticks to his three in midfield plan.

"I want to construct a midfield around three creators. It's not true that we don't have a ball winner. My statistics tell me Riccardo Montolivo recovered many balls last season," he added.

Antonio Cassano has become a leader within the team, and Prandelli is confident that will continue for the long term.

"I am happy for him. He can handle every type of pressure. This has been his true step up in quality," he concluded.
