Bale a 'huge part' of Tottenham threat, says Zanetti
The Argentine has noted the winger's current run of form, but remains hopeful of coming away with a result from White Hart Lane
Javier Zanetti says Gareth Bale is a "huge part" of the Tottenham side who will face Inter in the first leg of their round of 16 Europa League clash on Thursday. The Wales international has been in outstanding form in recent weeks, scoring twice against Olympique Lyonnais in the last round, and the Argentine is wary of the threat posed by the winger.
"We hope to be able to play a good game in London even though we're aware of the difficulty. And we know that Bale plays a huge part in that," the 39-year-old told Tuttosport.
The defender scored for the Nerazzurri in their 4-3 victory at White Hart Lane in the group stages of the Champions League in October 2010.
The match between Tottenham and Inter is scheduled to kick-off at 21.05CET on March 7.
