TEAM NEWS: Friedel starts for Tottenham as Lloris misses out against former club Lyon

Hugo Lloris will not face former club Lyon on Thursday evening, with Brad Friedel starting in Tottenham's goal for the Europa League clash.Emmanuel Adebayor returns to lead the line for Andre Villas-Boas' side after starting Saturday's league clash with Newcastle on the bench, having returned late from the Africa Cup of Nations.
A strong-looking Spurs line-up includes Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale on the flanks, while Jan Vertonghen is partnered in defence by William Gallas.
Lyon include Lisandro Lopez in attack, who was reportedly tracked by Villas-Boas in January, with the Argentine lining up alongside Bafetimbi Gomis in a two-man attack.
Tottenham starting XI: Friedel; Walker, Gallas, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto; Parker, Dembele; Lennon, Dempsey, Bale; Adebayor.
Subs: Lloris, Naughton, Dawson, Caulker, Livermore, Holtby, Sigurdsson.
