Captain hails his team-mates for working hard to reach the finale of the prestigious competition and is hopeful of lifting the trophy in Dublin
Andre Villas-Boas’ side won the Portuguese league title with ease and also qualified for the final of Europe’s prestigious club competition in style, defeating Villarreal 7-4 on aggregate in the last four.
Porto will now face fellow Portuguese side Braga in the final in Dublin on Wednesday evening but Helton dismisses suggestions of any complacency.
"All players have worked for this," said the goalkeeper, according to Uefa.com. "We've got a squad that fights for the same objectives, as we're accustomed to saying: 'We all pull in the same direction.'
"Leading up to the final it'll be the same: we'll think the same way, work the same way – we don't have to improve or stop doing something because we've reached the final. The objective is always the same."
