Liverpool Announce Squad For Europa League
No room for ineligible recruit Maxi Rodriguez...

Liverpool, due to make their Europa League bow in mid-February following their elimination from the group stage of the Champions League, have released their squad numbers for the competition.
The Reds embark on their campaign in the knock-out stages of the tournament against Romanian champions Unirea Urziceni on Thursday February 18 at Anfield.
Influential players such as talismanic captain Steven Gerrard, prolific goal-scorer Fernando Torres, and midfield anchor Javier Mascherano were all included although there was no place for Maxi Rodriguez.
The Argentine winger, who Rafael Benitez signed on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal at Atletico Madrid, is cup-tied in the Europa League due to his earlier involvement in the competition.
