Lenny Rodrigues has impressed me a lot – Cameroon coach Emmanuel Bosso
The coach of the African side spoke on their opponents whom they shall face in the Nehru Cup finals on September 2…
Emmanuel Bosso, the Cameroonian coach, stated that the Indians have been impressive in the ongoing Nehru Cup but added that his side are adept in foiling the host nation’s hopes of lifting the trophy.
The Local Lions are leading the table though on same points as India given that they have twice the number of goals scored by the Blue Tigers in three matches.
Bosso heaped praise of Lenny Rodrigues of Churchill Brothers who has dictated India’s play from the middle by spraying passes all over the field.
India have some good players. The number 6 (Lenny Rodrigues) has impressed me a lot. He can play around in the midfield and stays a potent force. Also, the Captain (Sunil Chhetri) and the goalkeeper (Subrata Paul) are key members. But we have our plans,” Bosso said.
He went to state that they have come to put on show in India and win the trophy in the process.
“We have come to India to show to you all what football in Cameroon is all about. We have mesmerised the World with our brand of football. We want India to have a feel of it too,” he mentioned.
On being asked whether Roger Milla, the Cameroonian legend, would be at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to cheer the team, Bosso said, “He is our Football Ambassador. He had promised that we will come to cheer for us if we make it to the Final. We are all waiting for him.”
