The Netherlands legend has faith in his crop of prospects as they bid to challenge Ajax for their league crown in 2013/14
Ronald Koeman says Feyenoord can mount a title charge next season, despite the club struggling to compete financially with their Eredivisie rivals.
The Netherlands legend led the Rotterdam outfit to a third-placed finish last term, with Ajax winning a third successive league crown and PSV runners-up.
"The season was good because Feyenoord had a lot of financial problems," the 50-year-old told reporters in Dubai.
"Maybe next season we will be champions but it will be a hard fight. PSV Eindhoven and Ajax have more financial possibilities than we have, but we have more talent.
"We have a lot of young players and next season they will be one season older. If we keep the team together we have potential.
"It's difficult, if you look at the budget of all the teams in Holland, Feyenoord is fifth."
In the past 14 seasons 12 of those titles have gone to Ajax or PSV, while Feyenoord have not won the Eredivisie since 1999.
