The OM president has said he is very pleased with the resurgence of his side in Ligue 1 this season and has praised the team's displays
L’OM currently sit second in Ligue 1, four points clear of third-placed Saint-Etienne, after a 1-0 win over Bordeaux on Friday night.
The side lost several key players before the season started, including Cesar Azpilicueta to Chelsea, Stephane M’Bia to QPR and Brandao to Saint-Etienne.
And Labrune told Football.Fr: “Given the drastic reduction in our budget at the end of last season, the departure of key players, the media pressure and competition from Paris Saint-Germain, to be second in this context is a big performance."
With just seven games left in the season, Labrune also spoke about his delight at the side's prospects of returning to the Champions League next season.
“[We are] writing one of the most beautiful pages in the history of sports club since his victory in the Champions League in 1993,” he added.
