I will try to convince Paulinho to sign for PSG not Inter, says Thiago Silva
By Ian Hudson
10-Nov-2012 12:45:00 PM
The 28-year-old Brazilian has talked up the ability of his fellow countryman and reveals he will do all he can to bring him to France despite interest from the Nerazzurri
Thiago Silva says he will speak to Paulinho over a possible switch to Paris Saint-Germain, as the Ligue 1 leaders reportedly find themselves in a transfer tug-of-war with Inter. The former AC Milan defender was full of praise for his Brazilian compatriot and went onto say that the Corinthians midfielder would be most welcome at the Parc des Princes.
"Paulinho provides pace, strength and quality goals in the middle of the park. He should be our number one target. He would fit perfectly into our team," Thiago Silva told Gazzetta dello Sport.
The centre-back swapped Italy for the French capital over the summer, and he will now be attempting to convince Paulinho that Milan is not the city for him.
"The problem is that there is a lot of competition for his signature as Inter have shown a strong interest in him. I will try to convince him to come to PSG though," Thiago Silva concluded.
