Ancelotti: It is normal to rely on Ibrahimovic

The Swede has been one of Paris Saint-Germain's top performers since his arrival from AC Milan this summer, but his coach does not believe his impact is an issue
Carlo Ancelotti says Zlatan Ibrahimovic's towering displays for the club can only be a good thing and has dismissed suggestions that his side are becoming overly reliant on the striker.

The striker's impressive scoring record since arriving at the Parc des Princes has led many to suggest an over-dependence on the towering Swede.

However, the Italian trainer was quick to point out that he wants his biggest names to be the most influential in matches.

"It is normal that the team-mates have confidence to give him the ball as he can score or play in someone else," the Italian told reporters.

"Being dependant on is a good thing, I think."

Kevin Gameiro, meanwhile, has seen his playing time limited since the former AC Milan striker's arrival, but stressed that he was prepared for a bit-part role.

"We'll see [how we do] when we play without him," the Frenchman stated. "One always learns to play with players like him. He wants to win, it's good for the team.

"After staying here this summer, I was prepared for [a substitute role]. I did not give up."

"I'm still here, and I will take every chance given to me. If I have to play fifteen or twenty minutes, I will give everything."

PSG clash with Stade de Reims on Saturday is scheduled to kick off at 17:00CET.
