Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has expressed his admiration for Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian midfielder was identified by the Italian coach as one of the hottest prospects in Europe and has so far been an ever-present figure for his club.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Italy's World Cup qualifiers against Armenia and Denmark, Verratti explained how Ancelotti has been become a great influence in a short period of time.
"My aim is mainly to achieve everything that Carlo Ancelotti brings out of me," he said.
"He gives me so much advice, even off the pitch. He is like a father to me.
"He is a really nice person who helps me a lot. I am grateful for the opportunity he gives me."
Verratti's club form has helped PSG to second spot in Ligue 1, just three points behind leaders Marseille, and he admits to being satisfied with his early efforts in France.
"To hear the stadium chanting my name has been great," he added.
"But the hardest part is not over yet. One or two good matches are not enough.
"I do not speak and do not read French. I'm learning, but the road is still long."
