The rigging of professional football matches around the world has become a one trillion dollar industry, according to former FIFA guru Chris Eaton, the number-one global expert on the problem. Eaton, the ex-FIFA Head of Security who now heads up a Qatar-based independent body to fight sports corruption, says the epidemic of match-fixing is becoming so great that football players risk turning from society's heroes into the equivalent of distrusted politicians.
