Napoli set sights on Alejandro Gomez
The attacker could be on the move in the summer transfer window as the Stadio San Paolo side have shown an interest in signing him, but they may have to cough up around €15 million
EXCLUSIVEBy Elia Raimondo
Alejandro Gomez has caught the attention of Napoli with his fine performances for Catania in the 2012-13 campaign, Goal.com understands.
The Partenopei are keen to add some more creativity to their squad this summer, and they see the 25-year-old Gomez as a valuable addition to their roster, but may have to offer in the region of €15 million to prise the Argentine away from the Rossazzurri.
The attacking midfielder joined Catania from San Lorenzo in the summer of 2010, and has since developed into a key player for the Sicilians, making over 100 official appearances in all competitions.
Gomez has previously been linked with clubs such as Inter and Fiorentina, but Napoli now appear to be sitting in pole position to lure the former Arsenal de Sarandi man away from his current club.
The midfielder has a contract with Catania until June 2015.
