John Obi Mikel has set his sights on Africa Cup of Nations glory with Nigeria after helping the Super Eagles into the quarter-finals of the competition.
Stephen Keshi's side recorded a 2-0 victory over Ethiopia on Tuesday to progress to the knockout phase in South Africa, and with a tie against Cote d'Ivoire ahead, the Chelsea midfielder has told his team-mates to keep up their performance levels.
“I think now that we are in the quarterfinals, we have to keep on what we doing and hopefully we will be successful. We came here to win this Cup,” he told Goal.com.
“I hope I am going to take penalties in the future, but Victor Moses asked to take them. The most important thing is that we won the game."
Nigeria finished second in Group C behind Burkina Faso.
